“Staying True to Yourself Never Goes Out Of Style”
Hi Guys! Happy Friday:) I am so excited it’s the weekend. Hope you have some great plans or no plans at all, which is how I like to spend my weekends….LOL!
Last Sunday I attended a Blogger Brunch hosted by AMCONYC with my girl Erika and afterwards shot my #OOTD. I wore my signature style of black, white and a POC. I seriously woke up that day and had no idea what I was going to wear because in all honestly I felt like I didn’t have anything new to wear. Erika and I were discussing how we always feel we have to have something “new” as bloggers and I guess that is one of the drawbacks of blogging. You always feel the need to shoot or wear something new but it’s not only super expensive, it’s unrealistic. I never set out to be anything but myself and in the effort to “keep it real” I have decided to let go of this feeling. As you can tell from my blog posts I definitely re-wear pieces because this is exactly how I dress. I will probably never wear the same exact outfit twice but the whole point of investing in versatile, classic pieces I always talk about, is to be able to get many uses out of them.
So for this look I went with a Zara top that has been in my closet for years, J Brand classic high waisted jeans and pink heels my hubby bought me for my bridal shower over 2 years ago (they will always have special meaning to me). I paired this sick A.L.C. studded leather jacket, which I can’t stop wearing, with a classic Chanel bag and some jewelry. I think it’s important to stay true to yourself and that goes for personal stye as well. I feel the best when dressed in an outfit like this one and it’s probably why it only took me less then 5 minutes to pull together.
Have a great Friday! Thanks for stopping by:)
