Hey Guys:) It’s officially getting colder which calls for my favorite trend, OTK boots. I bought these Stuart Weitzman highstreet boots in black last year and wore them SOOO much. They literally go with every outfit, are extremely comfortable and keep you warm, which is key for Winters in NYC…brrr. Since I wore them so much I can justify the high price tag.
I always think about CPW (cost per wear) when purchasing anything fashion related, especially the higher ticket items. I work really hard for my money so for me to spend it on luxury items I have to be sure I love the piece and can wear it more then once. I’m not much of a “fast fashion” girl and that’s only because everything I did have either didn’t last, was no longer in style or was not great quality to keep. One weekend years ago while I was cleaning out my closet (sidenote: I clean out my closet often…it’s one of my favorite things to do) I noticed a huge bag full of these items and it actually made me feel bad. I felt like I was literally throwing away money. These particular items were not salvageable to donate, which is something I truly believe in. Ever since then I pay close attention to what I purchase. This doesn’t mean I only buy luxury items or expensive things but I definitely pay attention to quality over quantity. I look for affordable pieces that are classic or great basics that are staples in my wardrobe.
I have a weakness for shoes…LOL! I look at them like works of art! Every season I buy a pair or 2 (haha!) that I will wear over and over. This Fall I chose these Stuart Weitzman Highland over the knee boots in this beautiful taupe color. I know I’m going to get so much use out of these shoes not only now but for many seasons.
