Hey Guys! Happy Valentine’s Day! As I sit and write this it’s currently -3 degrees outside…OhhhMmmGGG! I’m grateful to be taking a break from NYFW today and spending the day relaxing with my loves.

On Day 1 of NYFW I attended the BCBG and Marissa Webb shows. They were both amazing! I hope you are following along on my snapchat (@lisadnyc) to get all the videos from inside each show.

At BCBG I loved all the layering. I’m definitely going to start incorporating that styling technique ASAP. The show is always so large with great music which is key for the viewer sitting there. Some of the models who walked in the show where so bada$$, they walked with such confidence in all the looks. I love this look below because a statement coat is everything!

Marissa Webb always draws a great crowd. She stays true to her aesthetic, which I appreciate so much. Her collection has a cool girl vibe with an update on classic pieces. I also love that Marissa follows me on Instagram, which is so cool to support designers who support others as well. She always has great jackets and coats in her signature army green color. My absolute favorite look was this red and grey outfit. It’s so effortless and chic.

My OOTD for the day was Alexander Wang jeans, Just Female faux fur coat, Veronica Beard top, Ray Ban sunnies, a velvet YSL bag, and Isabel Marant boots. Since it was so cold that day I layered a black Helmut Lang blazer under my coat to keep warm. My look was picked up by may sites which is so humbling. I can’t get over that it is on Vogue.com shot by Phil Oh🙂 (YAY!) This is what I love about NYFW. In a world that is fame hungry, I love that street style is all about the outfit. It really doesn’t matter who you are (like little unknown me) and I believe that it solidifies that style is universal and you don’t need to be well known to have great fashion sense.

Fit Notes: I’m going to start including fit notes (since I’m a fit model and all..LOL) to help with buying the correct sizes when shopping. I hope this helps.

  1. The Jeans- I took a size 24. They are meant to be more of a boyfriend fit but in my normal size 25 they fit way too loose. Denim also stretches so by the end of the day these were bigger which I love.
  2. The coat is a size XS. It is meant to be oversized.
  3. The top is a size 2 and fits perfect. It ties around the neck so it’s adjustable based on comfort.
  4. The boots- I took my normal size.

I hope you all have a great day and keep warm if you are in NYC. Also celebrate love and life each day:) Thanks for stopping by! xoxo
